This is a full-time role for a Senior SQL Database Administrator located in The Hague with CellSens
What will you do?
The Senior SQL Database Administrator will be responsible for database administration, replication, database design, and troubleshooting. This includes ensuring the security, performance, and availability of databases, as well as implementing and maintaining backup and recovery processes. You will be the 'end responsible' for all deployments worldwide each having multi TB databases with millions of transactions per day.
Secondly you will have the freedom to develop new skills in the fast evolving data engineering and AI domain based on real use cases, potentially working closely together with large telecom operators.

What we ask
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server Database Administration, Replication, and Database Design
- Experience in Troubleshooting databases
- Ability to perform installations, upgrades and migrations of databases
- Strong knowledge of physical database design, indexes, partitioning, and database architecture
- Ability to setup monitoring solutions
- Proven scripting and automation knowledge
- Experience with large-scale databases and high-availability solutions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong desire to improve processes
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) are a plus
- Good understanding of large scale ETL processes
- Proficient in setting up a reference database design and use versioning.
- Data engineering, data analytics (business intelligence reporting) and AI algorithm skills are a plus.
- Enjoy working in a small team with high flexibility in terms of working hours.
- Minimum of 36 hours
